Part 1

Buying Telegram Stars

Stars are Telegram's built-in currency. You can buy them with a Russian bank card or SberPay, then spend them on NymVPN.

Open the Stars screen

In Telegram, open Settings and tap Telegram Stars.

Tap “Buy Stars”

The screen shows your current balance. Tap the blue Buy Stars button.

Pick a package

One month of NymVPN costs 686 Stars, so the 750-Stars pack is enough. In this walkthrough we bought 1000 Stars (1,679 ₽) to keep some spare for other Telegram purchases.

Choose a payment method

Tap Pay. A sheet appears at the bottom: SberPay or a regular bank card.

Connect SberPay

SberPay only needs the phone number linked to your Sberbank account. Enter it and tap Done.

Confirm the payment in Sberbank

You will get a notification from Sberbank. Open it, check the amount and tap Pay. The charge shows up as OTO*Telegram - that is normal.

Stars credited

Within a minute or two you get a receipt and the balance shows ⭐ 1000. Part one done.

Create an account

The mini app opens. Tap “I'm a new user - create account”. No email, no name, no documents - nothing is asked.

Choose a plan

Set the billing country

Save the recovery phrase

The app offers to save your 24-word recovery phrase. It is the only way to restore the account - there is no login or email. Save it on the device or write it down on paper.

The dashboard shows your subscription is active, the expiry date, renewal buttons and Invite a friend - friends earn you free months too. All that is left is to download the app (button in the bot) and sign in.

The most important thing - the recovery phrase. A NymVPN account has no login and no email. Your 24-word phrase (step 14) is the only key. Lose it and you lose the account together with the paid subscription. Store a copy somewhere safe right away.
